This gem is a must have for anyone that has children or knows children, and especially for those employed in the pediatric/educational arena. The book’s message of “Wings up, no Matter What!”, is a fundamental lesson all children would benefit from at a young age. There are very few books that directly teach this omnipotent concept of self-esteem in such an engaging way…through the eyes of an endearing bird. “Buddy” has already touched the lives of many of my students during our Occupational Therapy sessions. May 19, 2017 - 7:59 pm ·He let me see your book the other day and I read a little bit of it and was so excited about it that I went on Amazon and ordered 4 copies. Gave one to my sister and she is ordering one to send her friend in California who has 2 birds.
I smiled the entire time I was reading it and wanted you to know how wonderful I thought it was. I gave one to my daughter who is a teacher for her to read to her class.

July 3, 2017 - 7:12 pm ·I loved this book! It was so sweet & really showed the personalities of the birds. It also was great for so many things involving kids.
1. Caring for animals.
2. Showing it’s okay to be different & still accepted.
3. Showing not to give up if things don’t go perfectly at first.
4. Trying new things.
5. Learning new things.
6. Making new friends.
I could keep going, but you nailed just about everything that’s great for younger kids to learn. I thought the illustrations were great too. Full of personality just like the book. Big thumbs up!
I thought it was the perfect kind of kid book. For Siri, we had to break it into 3-4 sections an evening to read. But it kept her excited to read more each night. But, for kids slightly older I am sure it was a perfect length & story. Siri loved it & so did I!
